Cookies and storage
Cookie policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar storage used by the Cinema Room Setup website and application, and how to control them.
1. The short version
This marketing website sets no cookies at all. It does count page views, using a cookieless analytics layer that stores nothing on your device and identifies nobody — so there is still no consent banner to click away. There is no advertising and no cross-site tracking anywhere on it.
The application, once you sign in, sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies. It cannot work without them, and under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require consent.
2. What the application sets
| Cookie | Purpose | Type / life |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages and tools. Without it every click would log you out. | Strictly necessary. Expires when the session ends. |
| CSRF token | Proves a form was submitted from our own pages, which is what stops another site making requests as you. | Strictly necessary. Expires with the session. |
| Preference storage | Remembers your interface choices — theme, units, 3D render style — so tools open the way you left them. | Strictly necessary to deliver a feature you asked for. |
The configurators also use your browser's local storage to hold work in progress, so an accidental refresh does not lose a room you have not saved yet. That stays on your own device and is never sent to us as a cookie.
3. Measurement without cookies
We count page views with Odoom Insights, our own analytics layer. It is worth being precise about what that does and does not do, because "analytics" usually means something more invasive than this:
- It sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's storage. Nothing is left on your device to be read back later.
- It records the page you looked at, where you arrived from, your screen size and how long the page took to load.
- It does not store your IP address. To tell one visit from another it derives a scrambled identifier at the server from your address and browser, mixed with a key that is thrown away and replaced every day. It cannot be turned back into an IP address, and it is different on every site, so it cannot follow you anywhere.
- It carries no name, no email address and no account identifier, and it never runs on the signed-in application.
Because it stores nothing on your device, it does not need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. That is why there is no banner.
We use no advertising, remarketing or social media pixels, and no third-party analytics such as Google Analytics. If that ever changes we will add a proper consent banner first, ask before setting anything non-essential, and update this page.
4. Third parties
This website loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Google sets no cookies for that request, but it does receive your IP address as part of it. Nothing else on these pages reaches a third party.
5. Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you see and delete cookies, and block them by site. The steps differ by browser — look for "Cookies and site data" in your privacy settings. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in to the application.
Clearing local storage for the site will discard any unsaved room the configurators are holding for you.
